Three Helicopters, One Private Jet

-George Weah Flexes Muscles As Liberia Presidential Campaign Draws Near
Liberia presidential election is getting expensive by the day as presidential candidates in the upcoming elections continued to show the power of their monies.
It was revealed in Monrovia recently that the opposition Liberty Party of Charles Brumskine brought into the country two helicopters to support their campaign efforts because of the bad road condition. But today, another opposition party, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), announced it has brought into the country, three helicopters and a private jet to fact track movement of its personnel during the campaign period.
Campaign for the elections opens on Monday. The jet is ten seated with campaign photos of Senators Weah and Howard-Taylor pasted on both sides.
The party vowed to win the election, adding that it would do everything to abort any possible plan of cheating. There are reports that other presidential candidates are planning more logistics for their campaign efforts.
Last Saturday, the Standard Bearer of the opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Amb. George Weah, stormed the port city of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
Weah’s convoy entered Buchanan city by midday, with thousands of people waiting to receive him at the ‘welcome’ sign. But there were intermittent stops along the road leading to the city. Villagers would block the road to demand the convoy make a stop to have a clamp at the presidential contender. They held palm leaves and sang songs of praises to him.weahjecd
And before the Montserrado County Senator could reach the outskirt of Buchanan City, thousands of people ran from every quarter in the city, singing “Our Ma lied to Us, Our Pa Na Come”, meaning our mother lied to us but our father has come. The song could be heard echoing all over Buchanan city.
People left their markets in the Buchanan central market, some of them with no shoes, spread their clothing on the main Tubman Street.
But then, the first crowd that welcomed him had demanded the soccer legend walk from the welcome point to the central city.
And as if Jesus was entering Jerusalem, the multitude followed Weah and entourage, with some of them crying and dancing.
It was as if the CDC Standard Bearer was manufacturing human beings in the city, as it was really unbelievable to see the huge crowd that came out.
Weah trip to Buchanan followed similar one to Gbarpolu County on Friday. Similarly, according to our correspondent, people came from the villages and towns to see him. Some of them wanted to touch him.
Meanwhile, this paper has been informed that the CDC Standard Bearer is scheduled to visit Tienne, in Grand Cape Mount on Wednesday.
