A high power delegation of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) arrives in Liberia over the weekend as guest of Government of Liberia. The head of the ACBF, Professor Emmanuel Nnadozie will arrive in Liberia on Sunday April 9, 2017 along with Dr. Fola Ayonrinde head of the ACBF West and Central Africa Region and Miss Joyce Ekuful, Program Officer of the West and Central Africa Region.
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Saturday joined family members, relatives and mourners at the funeral of the late Mother Mary Nema Brownell and described her as one of the greatest women Liberia has produced. She said the late Mary Brownell distinguished her as a role model like Angie Brooks-Randolph, Madam Nehn Suakoko, D. and Musuline Cooper. The late Mary Nema Brownell died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Sinkor, Monrovia at the age of 88.

-Liberia’s Deputy Police Chief AB Kromah Clarifies Liberia’s Deputy Police Director, Abraham Kalelu Kromah has refuted news reports linking him to the former Liberia’s rebel United Liberation Movement for Democracy (ULIMO). This paper in its last Monday’s publication stated that international rights groups and some western countries have called on President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to dismiss Mr. Kromah for his alleged role in the former rebel faction. But Mr. Kromah in reaction to the publication stated that it is unfortunate that his sincere contribution to the peace process in Liberia has been misconstrued by detractors.
